Commitment to the LGBT Community

Dave Latina and Randi Gerson have a long-standing commitment to the LGBT community in the Bay Area. They led the development of San Francisco's LGBT Community Center as co-chairs of the Building Committee. The duo saw the project through, from its very early bricks and mortar beginning to its ultimate realization. Later Gerson became co-chair of the Board of Directors. The Community Center project, which began in 1996 and opened its doors in 2002 as a 40,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility, is considered the first LGBT Center built from the ground up and is among the largest in the world.
